It took four years, but today I finished the sides of the goucho couch for my Airstream. When I ripped off the old fabric and foam, I found that the wood of one of them was rotted, so I had to completely rebuild it. This set-back tested my resolve, but am proud to say I did it all myself. The piece of upholstery fabric I used was the first glamping decor decision I made and I'm still in love with it. See the shell pattern? That's the signature for The Silver Conch. Next I'll sew doilies to make washable scarves for the top pieces.

Galvez Boat Landing
"One of my favorite things to do is pack a picnic lunch, put in a paddleboat or kayak at the Galvez boat landing, and head to the little island in the middle of the Intracoastal. The water around the island is shallow and a perfect place to play and watch the parade of boaters as they head out to the Gulf through the Intracoastal."

Innerarity Point
"The land bridge that connects Innerarity Point with Innerarity Island is one of the first places to be cut off by rising water during a storm. It is also one of the best places to sit and watch the sunset."

"Watching storm clouds move in across the Gulf of Mexico on an otherwise sunny afternoon is perhaps one if the grestest juxtapositions in nature."

Thanksgiving Advice
"My favorite thing to do on Thanksgiving morning is to wakk down Canal Road and watch the sun rise over the Theo Barrs Bridge. It msy not be amber waves of grain, but it certainly has a golden magic that makes me thankful."
